The ability to create longer scripts (:D (1 reply)

i am a quadriplegic and I use this program to play games mostly. I have also used the program called Voice Buddy for about six years now, although the program is very useful it has to be linked to each game that it functions with and some games are not compatible, which causes me not to be able to play them. Even though the scripting system in the Voice Buddy program is more advanced. it needs to break the barrier of limitations to be compatible with all games like Tazti. one major problem i am running into with Taszti, is the inability to create longer scripts, which in my case is very necessary, because I use my voice for everything, that includes movements and commands like throwing grenades and strafing randomly to avoid gun fire, for instance if i wanted to strafe left and right quickly for a period of 6 -10 seconds the three keys that are available limit me to strafe left then right once only and then i have to say that command again whereas if there were a way to write longer scripts, I could strafe left and right more than just one or two times as well as jump and periodically throw a grenade all in one scripted voice command without having to stop so often to say a command which most likely will lead to death I would greatly appreciate this, but I do like this application enough that I did support your app and I bought a license on your main website. One other thing I would like to add is if there is a way to script a voice command to control the mouse wheel this would also greatly help me and other disabled gamer's. Although I do use a headmaster mouse setup that I wear on my head which allows me to fire weapons with the left click puffer switch where ever I look and has a right click built into my wheelchair which I use to go forwards in most games, but unfortunately running forward and shooting is not enough to compete these day :) thanks in advance!

I plan to buy Tazti for my Mom who is nearly blind, so she can listen to her preferred audio books, music or podcasts or call a friend on her PC with a simple voice command.

I looked at the built in speech recognition capability of Windows 7 and Dragon, but both are overly complex, as the PC just needs to understand some basic commands and reliably launch the desired MP3 file or PC command.

And since my Mom has a slight accent neither program was good at understanding her. I've had some success with Tazti however some commands like 'close' (to close active window) somehow has a poor recognition rate. In the current version there is no way to train the PC to better understand 'close' (with an accent), or to use another substitute like 'shut window' and I have not looked at the API option yet.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

PS I did find a way for skype CALLTO to work via a simple command file shown below (for win7 I had to put it in the program-file7skype/phone directory), where +41 is the country code, 22 is the area code and xxx xxxx is the number.

Global Push to Mute key (4 replies)

Dear Tazti team,

I've been using Tazti now for a little over a month, and I love it 99%. I can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution without the aid of Tazti.

My only suggestion for Tazti would be to add a Global Push to Mute key to prevent accidental command execution. This would be a huge feature for Ventrillo users and for little interruptions when someone ask you questions.

Example: If someone enters my gaming area to ask a quick question, it would be so much easier to shortly press a mute key to speak freely than to speak "Stop Human Revolution", "Mute Computer Microphone", speak freely, then "Activate Computer Microphone", "Start Human Revolution". Quite a mouthful just to briefly speak.

The ability to make Tazti mute while you speak in Ventrilo by assigning a mute key to Tazti as the same key to push to talk in Vent would be awesome. It's been done before in other voice command programs with less features than Tazti, so I'm confident and hopeful you'll implement this in the future.

I just downloaded Tazti, and I love it. I see that the free version has paid features for some period of time, after which, the maximum amount of commands goes from 75 to 30. I think that 75 commands is FAR too low. I would buy the upgrade right now if the paid version had unlimited command space. If I have to pay for something I don't want to have a limit imposed on it. I don't know if there is a limit on anything else in the paid version, but I also would like/recommend removing that as well. I agree that putting restraints on "free versions" is a good way to make money, and I appreciate you making a "free version." I will never purchase the premium features if the 75 command limit is in place. If there is an actual reason for the limit I'd love to hear it. To end, I'll just say that if this quick fix is made I will buy the upgrade tomorrow, and so will half a dozen of my friends.

Please don't get me wrong my submitting this suggestion as though I am unhappy with the work you have done to put such a wonderful product together. I am a programmer as well and know how hard you have to work to create something this robust.

With that being said I noticed that as I was interacting with my computer sometimes I would speak some command and it would keep opening random web pages; followed by the pop up window saying "I heard Ask men". I understand that Askmen.com or whatever might be a site that some folks use, it's certainly not one of my fav's. Is there a way to clear out all of those pre-programmed sites like "Go Yahoo" and put in any command there that I would like. This way I can save the database storage space for commands that I would really use.

Also, (as nerd as this sounds) I have named my computer. I like to talk to/with it like it's more of an assistant that a device. When I am drafting, working on my laptop or working on an algorithm for a new program I would like to simply speak a command and then have the Tazti program respond in like fashion. Most of my commands begin with [my computer/assistant's name] then do this or that.

Would there be a way for me to have certain commands generate certain .wav or .mp3 file activations. Say for instance I spoke, "Jarvis, I'm in the mood for some music" the program can trigger (or play) the .wav/.mp3 file that asks, "What sort of music are you in the mood for?"

Now I'm not saying the staff of Tazti create all of the .wav/.mp3 files and questions; I can take care of that. I'm simply wondering if I can adjust the computer to ask follow up questions because sometimes commands require further explanation or input.

I have tried to open Tazti's files and play around with them to see if I can't adjust some of its programming so it will do things such as this but I cannot seem to open the .exe file and get into anything. If I could have the code be open-source and a good way of compacting it (back into a .exe file) again; then maybe I'd be getting somewhere.

Either way, any feedback or thoughts on the matter would be wonderful. I'm also very willing to offer my programming assistance if need be.

I look forward to your thoughts! Thanks again for everything guys!!!

It would be nice if you could add the following voice commands for iTunes (or WMP):

Play song - searches and plays a particular song in the music library
Play artist - searches and plays all songs by a particular artist in the music library
Play year - plays only songs from a certain year
Play genre - plays only songs from a specified genre
Play mood - plays only songs from a specific mood (as part of the ID3 tag)
Play star rating - plays only songs from the star rating in which you specify
Play decade - creates a playlist based on a decade in which you specify (this would be really cool)

When you switch to the radio library, it would be nice to specify and play a radio station. For example: Play radio <radio station name>. Additionally, it would be great if you could move around in the radio stations without being local to the machine.

I like how you are making making tazti available for free and appreciate your work! Thx!
